strange commonalities

whenever i meet people or come across their customs or beliefs,i am surprised how they were so similar even when we were separated from each other by thousands of miles and had no means of communication. e.g The Hittite culture in Turkey 3500yrs to 3100 yrs ago worshipped Matar(Matru in Sanskrit and Mother in English) as a godess.Every where the procreating capacity of a woman was viewed as a divine power and was worshipped. The nature gods like the Sun,the water etc were worshipped in Inca culture in Peru.Even our vedas had these gods for worship
